Hutchinson Island, a long thin barrier island lies along the central Atlantic coast and stretches from Fort Pierce to Stuart, north of Palm Beach which is a 45 minute drive. Activities include golf, tennis, swimming, beachcombing, surfing, snorkelling, volleyball, windsurfing and sailing. Central East

In the neighbour city of Melbourne visitors will find modern shopping malls and a historic district with several blocks of antique shops, cafes, restaurants, specialty and gift shops.

New Smyrna Beach is located northeast of Orlando between Daytona Beach and Titusville beside the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. The beach is 20 miles long of which more than half is in the Canaveral National Seashore. Cars are allowed on parts of the beach during the day.
