Hutchinson Island, a long thin barrier island lies along the central Atlantic coast and stretches from Fort Pierce to Stuart, north of Palm Beach which is a 45 minute drive. Activities include golf, tennis, swimming, beachcombing, surfing, snorkelling, volleyball, windsurfing and sailing.
